College Football Week 1 Picks

This year I will be picking every Division I or Football Bowl Subdivision game. I debated on whether or not to pick the games straight-up or using the point spread. I decided to pick the games straight-up, though at the end of the post I may pick some games using the point spread as well. The winning team will be in red.

Here we go:

Pac-10 games:
The teams and games in my neck of the woods. Should be my strong point, should be.

Utah at Oregon State - Not a big fan of the Thursday night openers, but Beavers are gonna have an early Pac-10 1st place start by virtue of their victory tomorrow night.

Washington at Syracuse - Huskies' easiest game till November, gotta win it. Locker makes his debut.

UCLA at Stanford - I find it weird that there is a conference game on opening weekend. I don't like it, especially this matchup.

Washington State at Wisconsin - Cougs are starting the year off tough again, I don't see it being any better then last year though.

Houston at Oregon - The Ducks may be the surprise team of the conference this year. But they cannot overlook a quality Houston team.

Arizona at Brigham Young - Stoops is getting canned at the end of the season, BYU will start his final season off on the wrong foot.

Tennessee at California - Definitely the game of the weekend. Cal wants to return the favor from last year and expect them to win.

San Jose State at Arizona State - The Dennis Erikson era is off and running in Tempe.

Idaho at USC - You gotta feel for the Vandals
